For tonight’s post I thought I’d do something a little bit different, a weekly round up. I’ve never done a post like this before, maybe in different ways such as catch up posts but as somebody who has been reading and watching into other peoples lives for a good part of 8 years on YouTube and on blogs I know its something other people enjoy. Either way its a nice way to document my life and look back on the memories!

The start of this week was pretty average, the sense of feeling constantly busy and stressed slowly started to settle as I caught up with all my jobs to do and promises I’d made myself. Work has been busy which has added to the stress, meaning I’m coming home from work every afternoon feeling stressed and tired with another hundred things to do. When does it end? I was genuinely starting to think that I would never catch up with all the things I had listed in my head to do. Write blog posts, tidy the house, de-clutter our wardrobes, clean my car, take blog post photos, try out new products for future blog posts, stay active on social media, EAT, drink and you know, try and stay as energised as possible. Whilst procrastinating through it all I decided to go to the Range and spend an hour walking through every homeware aisle, two days in a row instead.

Whilst walking in and out of all the beautiful homeware pieces and trying to make the list of things that was awaiting me when I got home disappear in my mind, I did end up purchasing a few lovely things for the house. Only bits and pieces, but those bits and pieces definitely make a big difference to us!

Moving along from the madness of a normal working week for me, Jonny’s birthday was right round the corner!

I stocked up on balloons, banners and birthday candles and got excited for all the birthday celebrations ready for the weekend. It’s the first birthday he’s been home for in four years. I always question how he does it, because of his job he often misses birthdays, anniversaries and even Christmas & New Year; but we finally had the chance to celebrate together.

Friday night was the first night of celebrations where we, and a few of Jonny’s friends went out for an Indian in our local town. Afterwards, they all went into town for a drink or two and I took myself home to start blowing up balloons and preparing his birthday presents for the morning.

Along came Saturday, Jonny’s birthday! I woke up earlier than Jonny so I could sneak down and put the balloons, banners and presents out. I had planned to do it the night before but that was before I had remembered he wouldn’t be home until after I had gone to sleep. We spent the morning opening presents, watching TV, eating breakfast (birthday cake) and trying to convince ourselves to get up and ready for the day ahead.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the BodyPower expo at the NEC in Birmingham, not a choice of mine but one for Jonny. I knew he would appreciate it and enjoy it since fitness and bodybuilding is something he enjoys the most. After our long journey there and back, we had an afternoon sleep and managed to get ourselves up once again for more presents and visits from family.

Whilst spending the evening with Jess & Rowan, finishing off Jonny’s birthday, I HIT TARGET! As you know, I’ve been fundraising for Parkinson’s UK for the last 3 months in memory of my dear uncle that passed away after a long battle with it. My target to raise was £500.00 and with 19 days to go until the sky dive, and the help and last push from Jess & Rowan we hit the five hundred pound target. The sense of determination to keep going and accomplishment for raising £500.00 for such an amazing charity waved over me and I was sure I was about to cry. Lucky for me, and the others I managed to hold it in! Nobody wants to see a Kim K crying face! Talk about emotions…

Sunday came around and again, we woke up early. This time for a walk round the car boot, something we definitely don’t do enough. Even if you’re not going to purchase something its nice to get out and get some fresh air. Something about doing that on a Sunday morning makes it all feel much more productive. We managed to pick up some absolute bargains, including a real marble vase and two marble candle holders! Bloggers dream.

Right now I’m writing out this blog post, whilst running late to get ready for Jonny’s last leg of birthday celebrations, a family meal. So ready for this food! (Also sorry it’s up late, AGAIN! We went out and I had to leave this post to be checked over when I got back, but a few things got in the way!)

I know a post like this may not interest you in the slightest, but for me it gives me something to read back on. Maybe its something I should do more often, or perhaps a monthly round up of all the notable things that happened.

To finish off my weekly round up, heres every post linked below that has been published this week. Don’t forget to head over and read them if you haven’t already. I’m still blogging every day this month so I’ll see you again tomorrow!

My lovely friend’s new blog!

  • Sian…

I love these sorts of posts; I’m a nosey git so I love knowing more about people’s daily lives! I love the Range! I often go in on a night with my dad whilst we wait for my mum to finish work. I spend a lot of time down the wallpaper aisle stealing samples for blog backdrops! I actually am like you lately, I’ve got the longest to-do list but can’t seem to be bothered to do anything when I get home from work other than eat and watch TV! Loving your daily posts!
