Last week I was extremely lucky enough to be invited by the lovely Ellie (@elliegraceypie) to the Meadowhall Ladies night event to experience the evening along with a lovely bunch of bloggers. The evening was filled with plenty of good food and drink (totally Ellie style!) and brilliant company. Ladies night at Meadowhall is a fun filled evening of style, glamour and sophistication as they share special offers, treats, entertainment and plenty of pampering (makeup, nails, massages etc.). Not only was there so much to offer, there was a few familiar faces appearing too.
Instead of throwing us right into the middle of it all, we had a well-planned evening before venturing out to the shops. We all met up at Giraffe where we sampled some of their fabulous cocktails and nibbled on nachos, sweet chilli squid, edamame beans and more. I’ll admit, I’ve previously been to this restaurant just once; and didn’t have the best experience. However! The experience this time completely changed my opinion on the place. It was filled with a happy, relaxed atmosphere along with the kindest members of staff. The best, and only way to have started off our evening. Once everybody arrived and we had polished off the nibbles we headed off to our next stop.
If you love Tapas, like me (and my very good friend Sophie, you’re probably reading this!) – you will absolutely LOVE Tapas Revolution. This little gem, located upstairs in the Oasis near TGI Friday’s freshly prepare all of their food from scratch in the kitchen before serving it to your table. The food was absolutely incredible (dreaming of it right now whilst writing this!) and I’m really looking forward to taking a few friends back there in the future. We had a VERY large spread of food, so much to choose from. Of course, there were vegetarian friendly dishes too! Since I do eat fish (pescatarian) there were quite a few things that I could eat too, especially those prawns. Ugh. Can I have those prawns again, right now? We had a lovely meal at Tapas Revolution, finished by a helping of Churros and a group of bloggers feeling VERY full.
After a pit stop at one of the flower walls (great touch Meadowhall!) for some photographs with the girls, we headed off to Park Lane where the beauty bar was located.
“Make-up artists from leading beauty brands will be on hand throughout the evening, providing quick beauty fixes and pampering treats such as brow shaping, colour matching and file and polish. Find out how to create a gorgeous smoky eye and select the right lip colour for your skin tone.”
Unfortunately we were a little too late for the nail bar as it was just closing as we arrived, although Becca did get her makeup done by a MUA from Too Faced that gave her a beautiful peachy makeover. There were so many different treatments available and it was all organised extremely well, from the event staff coming out to the queue speaking to ladies waiting, to informing people whats available next.
After checking out the beauty bar, Becca and I headed over to a shop or two and then found our way home. I’ll have to admit, events like this aren’t usually my thing; and if there wasn’t a blogger event within the evening that I hadn’t been invited to, then I probably wouldn’t have gone along to the Ladies Night itself. My mind has truly been changed though and I’ll be checking out all events by Meadowhall in the future, and so should you! If you’re local you can keep up to date with the events that the shopping centre host HERE – and I’ll probably see you at the next one!
I also vlogged my experience over on my YouTube channel (which I’m trying to become more active on!) so I would LOVE it if you head over, give it a watch and at the same time, like and subscribe so you can see more of my faaaaace!
Let me know what sort of events your local shopping centres hold across the UK that you love taking part in!
Lots of Love, Debra-Bow xxx
*this post is not sponsored, however occasionally as a blogger I get the opportunity to experience events with brands which hold no agreement whether a post is written or not. I’m extremely thankful to have been invited. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way influenced by anybody else other than myself.
