MOVING MY WARDROBE INTO AUTUMN WITH GEORGE ASDA

Writing about clothing and anything fashion related has never ever been my thing, nor do I think it will ever become ‘my thing‘ either but I’ve recently put in a little bit more effort into my clothing choices. Now we’re pretty much full on in Autumn, we’re out pumpkin picking, kicking browned leaves around at our feet and wrapping up more I feel a little bit more comfortable exploring new clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer warmth but I get so self-conscious when trying to dress for my body during warmer months… So I’m keeping it comfortable and simple (ish) this Autumn and starting with a new outfit from my local supermarket at George, ASDA.

I’m not gonna lie, I kinda’ chose this outfit in a rush to possibly wear the following day at an event and after seeing the ever so lovely Kimberly post this dress on her Twitter, I KNEW I had to go and have a look at it. I quickly fell in love with it online and once again fell even more in love with it when I picked it up in store.

I wore the lovely dress with a faux leather jacket I picked up a few months ago as well in Asda, along with some black tights. For footwear I’ve worn it with dolly shoes and black suede ankle boots dependant of where I’m going, which works well both ways.

The dress itself is light-weight and has beautiful floral embroidery all over the body and sleeves, it also has a button and loop back fastening with an elasticated waistband. The only downside that I would say to this dress is that it does come up slightly bigger so I would 100% suggest trying it on in store or down-sizing. I’ve since read a number of reviews online to find that I’m not the only one noticing the dress coming up bigger. Before I picked up this dress I didn’t notice, but the back of it does seem to fall slightly longer than the front which in my opinion, on my body is much more flattering and makes me feel far more confident in not worrying about it riding up but for somebody who may be shorter than me it may be an issue. I’m definitely going to be wearing this dress well into Autumn and Winter. I already feel like I’ve got my wear out of it for the price, which FYI I was a little bit on edge about since a supermarket dress at £25.00 did seem like quite a lot but the detail in the embroidery is worth it alone.

I’d love to know what your Autumn staples are this year in the comments below AND I’d also like to say a huge thank you to my lovely friend Paige who has been helping me out with my photography the last few weeks! She knows exactly what I like and don’t like and it gives me the perfect image to then edit to my own taste, so a huge round of applause to her!

Lots of Love, Debra-Bow xxx
