    GLAMGLOW Supermud Mask

You know me, I absolutely love a great face mask… so when GlamGlow reached out to me and asked if I would like to try out one of their face masks I of course *virtually* screamed YES! (Please). GLAMGLOW is a luxury brand that are mostly face mask focussed; they’ve become widely popular the last few years with their masks featuring all over social media, especially Instagram videos. It’s a brand I’ve always wanted to try out but without spending the high price tag. I do often say that when it comes to skincare you shouldn’t worry about a face mask but there ARE others out there much cheaper so it does make you wonder whether its worth it or not.

GlamGlow was founded in 2010 exclusively for backstage and professional use in Hollywoods entertainment industries (music, fashion etc.) and in 2011 was made available to people like us. They’re now available in over 6500 stores, hotels, airlines and cruise lines and supply around 86 countries… Talk about massive. The popularity and the price is what intrigued me the most since a £40+ mask isn’t something people go out and buy every day… so to be given a sample of one of their best selling masks gave me the chance to ‘try before I buy‘ whilst sharing my opinion on it too.

    ABOUT GLAMGLOW Supermud Mask
“Combat common skin concerns with the GLAMGLOW Supermud Mask; an innovative, unisex facial treatment that tackles blemishes, breakouts and ingrown hairs, whilst visibly tightening skin’s texture and pores.”

The Supermud Mask is an award winning mask (Harper’s Bazaar and Social & Personal) and can be used as a full face mask or as a one spot solution by applying directly onto your troublesome areas (always good when you’re in a rush!). This product absorbs your skins impurities without affecting your national oils, which FYI, you do actually need… so calm down with those oil banishing products.

I applied a full face of product to my face, ensuring it wasn’t too thick else it wouldn’t dry quick enough. I somehow managed to forget I had a face mask on and removed it after it had been on my face for way too long (bad move Deb!) and it left a slight red mark in the shape of the mask on my face. Completely my fault, but the second time I wore this I made sure I removed it before the 20 minute mark preventing the original mistake from happening again… Although I have heard about other people experiencing the same thing within minutes of applying this mask so if you do have sensitive skin PLEASE be careful.

I found the results from using this mask incredible. As somebody that has clogged and congested skin from it being oily this mask was the perfect match to combat all of those problems. It left my skin feeling and looking smooth and bright (once the redness as mentioned above had calmed down) and at a time of having a bad few weeks with my skin it assisted in calming down those angry spots. You can see very clearly where its drawn out all of those impurities from my skin in the image below.

Since it was only a small sample that I was gifted I was only able to get two uses out so don’t have a long-term review but these little samples are available in selected boots (I’ve been eyeing a few more up) and are brilliant if you want to try before you make the full commitment of a full size tub of this which costs £42. You can purchase it online here.

    Lots of Love, Debra-Bow xxx
