If you’re somebody with gorgeous, naturally long, curled eyelashes then I absolutely envy you. I’ve regularly spoken about lashes on my blog whether it be my struggle with my own natural eyelashes or my love and new discoveries for false eyelashes… for me, no look is complete until I have a set on so when a brand new pair of eyelashes landed on my doorstep from KISS I did a lil’ happy dance.
I’m already a big fan of KISS’ faux mink eyelashes and I’ve previously shared a post telling you how much I adore them. Not only their faux mink range but KISS’ whole collection of false eyelashes are something else. You’ll most likely always find me with a pair of them on, especially since they have a style fit for any occasion and makeup look. I thought I had a winner with my favourite faux mink range until I discovered a brand new style they’ve recently launched.
TRIPLE PUSH-UP COLLECTION (STYLE: CORSET)
“three lash designs in one strip”
Ok, so my first impressions of three lash designs in ONE strip terrified me… “It’s gonna’ be way too much for sure” I thought. Coming from the girl who thinks there can never be too much when it comes to false eyelashes. Certain that although this style is BEAUTIFUL, these eyelashes would too full on, heavy and uncomfortable to wear on a day-to-day basis but that I’d give them a try anyway… ’cause thats what we do here on this blog! I test and share my opinions on a product so you don’t have the anxiety of spending your money on something that might not work.
“Corset lash style features voluminous, layers of lashes with curled ends. Triple Design technology delivers three lash designs in one strip for enhanced volume, length and eye-lifting curl every time. Cruelty free.”
As with all false eyelashes the application is pretty standard and exactly the same:
1) MEASURE: check that the lashes fit your eyes before applying adhesive. To do so, simply lay the lash on top of your natural lash line and trim from the outer edge as and where needed.
2) ADHESIVE: Apply a thin layer of your preferred adhesive, wait around 30 seconds (sometimes longer works better in my own experience) until its become tacky. At this point I prefer slightly bending the lash by gently holding each end to a curve to make the application easier.
3) APPLY: If you’ve left the adhesive to dry long enough then this part will become so much easier. Using your fingers, tweezers or any alternative lash applicator tools gently apply the lashes along your natural lashes. Hold gently and reposition where needed (clean tweezers are the easiest way to do so).
So, I have to admit I’m not always right. My pre thoughts of these lashes being heavy and uncomfortable due to the three lash styles in one were completely W R O N G. Right from the beginning they’ve been easy to handle and wear, especially once they’re on for long hours. KISS never fail to deliver when it comes to smashing their lash designs and this is another one of those.
The application as always with this brand of lashes is effortless; the thick lash band makes adjusting the lashes to fit your eye shape easy and hassle-free. A lot of people do prefer a thinner lash band, which in many cases is the best way to go since they’re easy to handle and disguise but with a pair of eyelashes that make the statement that they do, the thick lash band is nothing to worry about… If you’re a beginner though I highly suggest starting thin and working your way up.
Considering I have small eyes with not much lid space, I’ve never found something that suites my eye shape so much. Although not so natural they still give me the perfect finish to every makeup look I’ve worn them with… dare I say, new holy grail? I already need backups! Following on from every makeup look I’ve worn them with: I’ve already worn these lashes five times in the space of two weeks with so many more uses out of them. Talk about QUALITY. With the correct aftercare these eyelashes will go a long way. Not only are they incredibly stylish, comfortable, long-wearing but they are so affordable coming in at £7.99/$6.99.
