It’s been a hot minute, but I’m FINALLY back with a beauty post… hurray! I’m so excited to go back to my roots with this blog and write about makeup, skincare and everything else in between – basically what I know best. With that being said, it only felt right that I kicked off my ‘first proper’ beauty post this year talkin’ about one of my current favourite products.
Your Skin But Better CC Cream | £31 / $39
The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream has been about for years… It’s a hype I never found myself following since it was more difficult to find the brand in England until only recently where they launched in multiple places – though I picked up mine while in Sephora and I’ve been been hooked since.
I really haven’t reached for much else other than this when it comes to my base makeup. This CC cream colour corrects, aims to be ‘full coverage‘, is anti-aging, hydrating, cruelty free and all whilst having SPF 50 in too. It’s pretty much everything you could need in a foundation.
I’ve been wearing this religiously for around two months now, this CC cream/foundation has quickly become one of my favourite items in my makeup bag for everyday wear. I apply it using a buffer brush and lightly set it with a translucent powder most days. I wouldn’t necessarily say that this is a straight ‘full coverage‘ product, more buildable to full coverage… but for me this is perfect. It means that I can apply little for a more natural look, and more when I’m aiming for full coverage.
This CC cream fully covers my uneven skin tone all while feeling light and hydrating with no discolourations or heaviness. The hydration factors in this have been one of the most important things for me… with all of the travelling and weather conditions my skin has been suffering with dryness more than it ever has. So applying this most days has not only given my skin confidence but its restored it too.
There are 12 shade selections, which in my opinion is simply not enough. I do wear the shade ‘light‘ though and find that this is the perfect match for me during the winter months. (Foundation shade examples: The Ordinary 2.0 YG, Bobbi Brown Natural 4, Fenty 290)
Overall, I love this product – it has everything I need in one tube. I know it’s gonna’ be a real winner during Summer too and would recommend it to anybody looking for something similar.
